Applications : Using Accurate Measured Radio Channel Data
Provides the Ideal Environment for Testing Wireless Devices and Networks in the LabOULU, FINLAND & UTTENREUTH, GERMANY-- /Marketwire/ - EB (Elektrobit) and MEDAV announced their cooperation in developing interoperability between the MEDAV RUSK MIMO Channel Sounder and EB Propsim emulators.
EB Propsim radio channel emulator customers now have the ability to use in their wireless testing data measured in the field with the MEDAV RUSK MIMO Channel Sounder.
"Conformance testing against basic industry standards is no longer enough in today's competitive markets. A laboratory environment where real world radio conditions can be repeated accurately is becoming a must for mobile device developers and operators.
"The unique and patented file-based emulation architecture and playback capability of EB Propsim radio channel emulators together with data measured by the MEDAV Sounder provide competitive advantage to our customers", said Antti Sivula, senior vice president of EB's Wireless Communications Tools Business.

Applications : NEW Sensor Board For Precision Agriculture
NEW Agriculture Sensor Board for Libelium’s award-winning Waspmote platform enables very precise irrigation and climate control for vineyards & greenhouses
Zaragoza, Spain – – Libelium announces a new Agriculture Sensor board for its Waspmote platform. The new board enables up to fourteen environmental parameters to be monitored in a wireless sensor network. This sophisticated monitoring brings extreme precision to crop growing in vineyards and greenhouses by enabling irrigation and climate control to be matched to local conditions.
The new Agriculture Sensor Board extends the award-winning Waspmote platform by supporting the measurement of the following key parameters: air temperature, air humidity, soil temperature, soil moisture, leaf wetness, atmospheric pressure, solar radiation, trunk/stem/fruit diameter, wind speed, wind direction and rainfall.

Vendor : Temperature Resistant Linear Position Sensors
Pennsauken NJ, USA -- Macro Sensors' new series of high temperature and rugged LVDT linear position sensors can be used in various military and defense applications such as fuel/oil level monitoring, load leveling of artillery platforms and controlling flight surfaces of airplanes and rudder positions of aircraft carriers, tankers, ships as well as submarines. Built to withstand 400 ºF temperature spikes, the HSTAR 750 Series Hermetically Sealed Position Sensors can withstand the harsh environments and high temperature peaks common in military aircraft and equipment.
As position feedback components for closed-loop servo systems, these LVDT linear position sensors can serve as single or multiple channel devices, depending on redundancy and reliability requirements. Most perform in quad channel systems for military aircraft such as the C-17 to the JSF fighter.
