New Products : OptiSonde™ Chilled Mirror Hygrometer
Click to see larger imageBILLERICA MA, USA -- GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies has announced the OptiSonde™ humidity indicator, transmitter and data logger.
The OptiSonde is the first chilled mirror hygrometer to offer the precision and repeatability previously found only in laboratory standards, to a compact and economical instrument suitable for industrial applications.
The OptiSonde may be used to calibrate and verify a wide variety of humidity sensors and instruments. It is ideally suited for documenting the environmental conditions of process and storage areas.
The OptiSonde utilizes technology of choice for monitoring humidity and temperature in pharmaceutical process, environmental test chambers, automotive and aerospace engine emissions and testing, heat exchanger and air conditioning performance testing applications.
Incorporating a rugged, compact design, the OptiSonde is a true 1%RH hygrometer equipped, which facilitates recordings of test environments, with an internal data logger.

PROVIDENCE RI, USA -- For those who need the basics in a digital indicator, the new MarCator 1081 Digital Indicator from Mahr Federal offers an excellent price/performance ratio. With a measuring range of 0.5 in. (12.5 mm) and resolution to 0.00005 in. (0.001 mm), the gage features a high contrast LCD display with 10 mm high digits, and provides IP51 class protection against dust and falling water according to IEC 529.
USB connectivity with the MarCator 1081 allows multiple indicators to be inexpensively linked to PCs through a USB hub with no multiplexer required. Optional Digimatic and RS-232 connections are also available.
Mahr Federal also offers optional wireless data transfer connectivity on this and other precision gages. Measurements can be made in either inches or millimeters, counting direction can be reversed, and a Preset function allows entry of a numerical value.
