An easily-installed wireless solution to monitoring container load weight
Exeter, UK, -- Industrial Weighing companies facing new legislative and environmental issues have to look at spreading the costs associated with such change. This has meant a tighter control on the total filled weight of containers. Any excess weight in the container has to be accounted for and charged accordingly.Modifications to existing container vehicles can be a costly and lengthy process.
Vehicles can be out of service for several days and have to undergo expensive, labour intensive, welding.
The Wireless Solution:
A container loader truck is fitted with two miniature Mantracourt Model T24-SA wireless strain gauge acquisition modules contained in shackles which are connected to standard chains.
A T24-HA wireless handheld display is used to sleep and wake the T24-SA devices and provide a summed display from the two acquisition devices.
